Another contemporary residence from SAOTA
Nettleton 198 is an impressive contemporary business firm located in Cape Town, Due south Africa. It was a project developed past Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects or SAOTA. The clients were a British couple who had a series of specific requests for their new home. They wanted a vii-level structure with 6 bedrooms and wonderful views. They also wanted a design that would allow them to take total advantage of the site, the views and the proximity to the mountain.

There was an already existing building on the site. The architect used that every bit a starting indicate. They had to make some major changes in society to create the design desired by the clients. The lower levels of the original edifice were completely and drastically remodeled while the entire upper level was demolished to make way for two new levels. The architects decided to take inspiration from the surrounding landscape in lodge to make the house integrate naturally into the surroundings and to also give the clients the connection to the outdoors that they wanted.

The night colors used for the façade allow the house to blend in rather than to stand out. The views from the site are quite spectacular. The owners of the house tin can admire the sea and the mountains and they also bask most total privacy. The living room is an open pavilion that becomes a transitional space betwixt the indoor and outdoor areas. The rest of the house features large windows and floor-to-ceiling glass walls.
